There are not so many people who survived, but they still exist, and if before they could hope for evacuation by military units, now salvation depends only on themselves. It's sad, but the government is unable to protect its citizens, in fact, they are thrown to certain death. Many have surrendered, but there are those who, over and over again, make desperate attempts to escape from the infected city, taking refuge in special bases, which are islands of hope for the future. After all, all this time, scientists are trying to find a vaccine against the virus, and are literally one step away from a breakthrough in this complex matter.
