The simple and informative interface of the application helps to quickly find language pairs in which two foreign users want to communicate with each other in the common language of digital technologies.

The purpose of VoiceTra is to help its users communicate at a household level with native speakers of other foreign languages.

VoiceTra - how does it work?

The translator uses high-precision speech recognition technology, contextual interpretation of words (the problem being solved is related to idioms often used in colloquial speech) and speech synthesis - this technology was developed by the National Institute of Information and Communication Technologies of Japan (NICT).

The application recognizes voice speech, translates the contextual meaning of words into a given language, and displays the result using a speech synthesizer.

To translate from the list of languages, you need to select one pair of languages ​​between which the translation will be carried out. The application interface is implemented in such a way that it is easy for users to change the direction of translation - this function makes it possible to use one application for two people speaking different languages.

Conducted words are displayed not only by the speech synthesizer but also in the form of text. There are two texts: 1) the author's text, which may contain grammatical errors, and 2) the text edited by the application.

Our translator's vocabulary is ideal to use in situations that require communication while traveling - in transport, in shops, in hotels, while sightseeing, as well as in cases of car accidents, man-made disasters or natural disasters.

Notes.

For some languages, the application does not support voice input and output of translation, in such cases, the text intended for translation must be entered using the keyboard.

VoiceTra can be used to translate only single words. But for the correct translation of words, they should be entered as part of a sentence, this will help the translator to translate words in the context of a given sentence.
