Although many ordinary people are sure that such logical fun as Sudoku came to us from the Land of the Rising Sun, in fact, it has nothing to do with Japan. The puzzle was created by a certain Howard Garnes, who was an architect by training and presented to a wide audience in 1979 in an American magazine.
