The Catapult is a fascinating arcade game, the mechanics of which almost completely copies those of Angry Birds, however, the story of our novelty unfolds in medieval realities, the main character is Stickman, and the role of the projectile is assigned not to the feathered heroes, but to the stone-fired from the catapult. The main task is to protect your fortress from enemies constantly attacking from different distances from battering guns.
The power of these medieval mechanisms, despite their primitiveness, smashed the thick walls of stone fortresses and citadels to smithereens - thus many besieged cities fell, and a similar fate awaits the native walls of our protagonist, as conceived by the authors. Only Stickman - the guy is not a miss and just does not intend to surrender to the mercy of the enemies, generously treating his opponents with heavy shells sent flying from a catapult located at the top of the castle. The game has two modes - a fight against artificial intelligence or an online battle with a real enemy randomly selected by the system.
Our nondescript, but the patriotic hero is always on the left side of the screen, and enemies are storming the fortress, located at some distance from the right side. The goal of The Catapult is clear - to destroy the structures of enemies before they do it with your catapult, the difficulty is that you have only one weapon at your disposal, and the enemy may have several mechanisms at once, which significantly complicates the defense. But the supply of stones is not limited, although here the developers sided with the gamer.
In order to send the projectile into the flight, you should use the principle of a slingshot - we swipe in the direction opposite to the planned flight, adjusting the distance and speed of movement of the cobblestone, after which we remove our finger from the screen and look at the flight, and how it turns out to be effective or not, depends on the eye and skill of the user. Opponents, meanwhile, are insidious and cunning, since they constantly change the location of their catapults, and the devices themselves are gradually becoming more powerful, and it will be more and more difficult to break them, and with one shot it is simply impossible.
There are only two bonuses in the game The Catapult, but they are quite enough with proper use - this is a bomb that detonates when it meets an obstacle and destroys everything around with a powerful blast wave, as well as the ability to simultaneously send three projectiles into the flight, which, of course, somewhat increases chances of effective hitting the target. Graphically, the project is executed succinctly, but nicely, especially the special effects that give the destruction of realism and entertainment.
