Days of Decay is a new third-person survival experience where the main character must confront unknown aggressive mutants and merciless marauders. The background of the novelty sends the user to the near future when travel to distant planets has become a reality, and scientific technologies have reached the peak of progress. A scientific expedition led by the protagonist was engaged in the study of alien organisms on Mars in the laboratories of a special scientific base called Oasis City.

It is in such conditions that the main character has to solve the main task, which is to search for survivors and investigate the secrets of the events that took place.
