Days of Decay is a new third-person survival experience where the main character must confront unknown aggressive mutants and merciless marauders. The background of the novelty sends the user to the near future when travel to distant planets has become a reality, and scientific technologies have reached the peak of progress. A scientific expedition led by the protagonist was engaged in the study of alien organisms on Mars in the laboratories of a special scientific base called Oasis City.

After six months of work and experiments at the base, a series of inexplicable bloody events took place, and the hero himself was in a hospital bed in a coma. And now he woke up and was horrified by what he saw - only fragments and mountains of twisted equipment remained from the base, there was no one from the team, and chilling sounds were heard from all sides. It is in such conditions that the main character has to solve the main task, which is to search for survivors and investigate the secrets of the events that took place.

Control the character with the joystick, interact with the environment, engage in hand-to-hand combat with mutants, gather resources, look for weapons with equipment and other means of survival, build a reliable shelter, and so on. The concept of Days of Decay is far from new, and the only difference is in the location of events - now it is a distant and inhospitable Mars and not a lonely island lost in the endless ocean.
